10 IP QUESTIONS: A CONFERENCE AND A COMPETITION

The Business of IP: 10 questions the CEO will ask in the next 5 years is the title of a challenging two-day conference that is being run by IP Review Live in conjunction with Intellectual Asset Management next month. On 7-8 February, in the pleasant surroundings of the Four Seasons Hotel, Canary Wharf, London.

The organisers have assembled an array of big-name speakers drawn from industry, government and the professions, including Jan Lindermann (Interbrand), Lars Kellberg (Novo Nordisk), Jeremy Dickerson (DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary) and Paul Nelson (Nestlé). Also, IPKat co-blogmeister Jeremy will be chairing a session on the second day on the provocative subject of IP crime: is it safe to ignore it?

Jeremy isn't getting an appearance fee for this - but he has been able to wangle a free place from the organisers for the winner of IPKat Competition No.2 for 2006. The rules of the competition are simple: (i) the winner is the author of the best caption for the kat-pic on the right; (ii) captions must be emailed to the IPKat by not later than mid-day (Greenwich mean time) on Thursday 26 January 2006 and (iii) CPA's very own Charlotte Presse will adjudge the winner. When entering, please confirm that you don't mind us reproducing your caption (not that it's an original literary work ...).
