NEW ADVOCATE GENERAL

The new British Advocate General officially started work at the ECJ yesterday. Eleanor Sharpston QC is (not surprisingly) an expert in EU law and has, to date, combined academia with a career at the Bar.

Meanwhile, British former Advocate General, Francis Jacobs QC PC (of Baby Dry fame, amongst other trade mark cases of note) has been made a Privy Councillor.

The IPKat wishes them both luck and lots of delicious IP cases.
