A CAR GUY FOR ALL SEASONS!

During a 50-year career as an architect, Café Racer and MG-TC enthusiast Gene Aubry has designed more than 1,000 projects, including private residences, libraries, performing arts centers, schools and museums. Some high-profile luxury hotel projects include the Windsor Courtyard in New Orleans and Ritz-Carlton in Aspen. He also designed the Naples Opera House and Selby Library in Sarasota. Many of his projects have been in Texas and he’s often referred to in architectural journals as, “The man who rebuilt Houston.”

Aubry is also an award-winning watercolor artist who’s had one-man shows in area galleries. While he was showing his beautifully restored TC at the Florida Winefest he sketched a number of the cars in the Café Racer display. A few are shown here.

The multi-talented architect and artist is also an accomplished musician. He plays blues & rock guitar and is a regular at the Beach Bistro restaurant in Holmes Beach, FL.
