SARASOTA CAFÉ RACERS: ROAD TRIP!!

You could almost hear the cries, “Hide your woman & children,” when the Car Guys Who Lunch invaded a sleepy Florida subdivision to break bread.

In the spirit of Car Guys Just Want To Have Fun, Dale Powers and neighbors Eric Robertson and Everett Southwick hosted some 50 enthusiasts at their homes. Powers is one of the foremost vintage Rolls-Royce and Bentley authorities in the U.S. and owns a 1938 Barker-bodied 25/30 Rolls and a spectacular 1930 4 ½-liter Bentley Tourer. On March 3-rd he moved them along with his ’57 Chevy 283/270 convertible and ’81 Citroen “Dolly” Duex Chevaux outside, turning his garage into a dining room and his sprawling lawn into a show field. After lunch Robertson and Southwick opened up their “toy boxes” so the Car Guys Who Lunch could play. Everett Southwick, Bruce Male and Marty Schorr documented the day.
