PETE ARGETSINGER: RACING COACH TO THE STARS!

With more than 300 starts as a racing pro, an enviable win record and a platinum portfolio of coaching clients, Pete Argetsinger has been on top of his game for decades.

Over the years Pete Argetsinger has had thousands of private clients, including Members of the House of Lords for UK celebrity races, former World Champion Damon Hill, and Williams/McLaren driver Juan Pablo Montoya. He’s also worked with Jackie Stewart on corporate driving programs at Brands Hatch. But when he wants to break bread with real car guys and have some off-track fun, he hooks up with the Car Guys Who Lunch in Sarasota, FL. In addition to burgers & BS, he gets to spend quality time with two of his star Sarasota Café Racer clients: AC/DC rocker Brian Johnson and Ferrari Challenge driver,
Dick York.

Johnson fondly remembers the first time he met Pete. “Yes mate, as I say in my book, Rockers and Rollers, I had to find a co-driver and Peter just happened to be walking down pit row. I saw Pete and said, Pete m’boy, could you drive with me? He looked at me and said those famous words, ‘Does Rose Kennedy have a black dress?’ Yes was never said so well." Brian's wife Brenda also races and is coached by Pete.

Clowning around at lunch, Pete donned a vintage soft brain bucket and attempted to carjack Dale Powers’ 4.5 liter ’30 Bentley Tourer. Looking more like a henchman of the fictional Ming The Merciless, evil emperor of the planet Mongo in 1930s Flash Gordon serials, he was caught before he figured out how to its outside parking brake!

Club racer Dick York has nothing but praise for Pete’s coaching acumen. “Once he started coaching me and I put Sarasota Café Racer livery on my 360 Ferrari Challenge car, I got my Mojo back. I’ve lowered my lap times by 10% and may consider
going Pro!”

Pete Argetsinger comes by his love of road racing naturally. His Dad, Camaron, who passed away in 2008, raced an MG-TC and was the founder of sports car racing at Watkins Glen in 1948. He also brought the United States Grand Prix to the Glen in 1961. Pete lives with his wife and family in Sebring, FL.
