ROLLS-ROYCE ROCKET: SEVEN-SECOND CREWE’S MISSILE!

Big-Block Chevy-powered Silver Shadow to run at Flame & Thunder at Santa Pod, UK’s legendary drag strip.

Matt Wright’s ‘74 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow, originally built at the factory at Crewe, UK, may still strongly resemble the iconic gentleman’s express. However, looks are deceiving. Under its hood (bonnet) rests a 588-inch Chevy big-block that explains its incredible quarter-mile performance: 175 mph in 7.94 seconds!

The supercar-slaying “Roller” has been prepared by WG Racing and utilizes a chrome-moly twin-tube chassis and purpose built suspension and braking system. It has the ability to cover the quarter-mile in almost three seconds quicker than a Bugatti Super Sport.
