The XKR-S, above, debuted at the 2011Geneva Motor Show, is the most extreme expression yet of Jaguar’s passion for building beautiful, fast cars. For the first time with a series production car, Jaguar gains entry to the exclusive “300-kph Club” (186 mph) thanks to the effortless performance of its supercharged 5.0-litre AJ-V8 engine. Thanks to revised fuel mapping, the direct-injection, four-cam, four-valve V8 produces 550 horsepower and 502 pound/feet of torque. Extensive tuning insures that power delivery and performance are linear and seamless. Acceleration from 0-60 mph takes just 4.2 seconds. The active exhaust system rewards the enthusiast driver with dramatic, motorsport-inspired aural feedback.
