Thanks to hands-on hot-rodder engineers at GM Performance Parts you can now buy track or street ready LSX series small-block crate motors in large and even larger displacements. These new engines can easily be fitted in cars originally powered by traditional small-block engines. Exterior dimensions are similar but it's what's inside that counts.
The LSX376 displaces 376 cubic inches while the LSX454 delivers 454 cubic inches of "big block" power. GMPP's LSX454 is a 21st century 454 that requires no more space under the hood than a production LS small block and is capable of more than 600 horsepower! Those interested in boosting a modern small block, the LX376 is ideal for supercharging as it comes with new forged lower compression 9-to-1 pistons.
Both engines are ideal for installation in late-model street stock, vintage muscle cars and pro-touring Chevys as well as track cars. Owners of vintage imported sports and GT cars originally powered by 327 and 350 small-blocks can also benefit from the latest LSX offerings from GM.
