Sarasota Cafe Racer takes the highest award presented at the Ferrari Club Of America's Nationals!
The Coppa GT is the highest honor that the Ferrari Club Of America presents annually at its Nationals. It is considered the ultimate award for car-and-driver presentation and preparation. This year’s Coppa GT went to Dick York, Anna Maria Island, FL who also won Concours Class (7) Platinum for his street-driven ’98 F355 Berlinetta.
There is a three-step process for the awarding of the Coppa GT, starting on the Concours field where the candidate must win Class Platinum. This is followed by the Coppa Bella Machina event, where the car must pass a 100% pass/fail mechanical inspection. It all culminates on the track, where the driver’s skills are tested with judges assessing the driver’s ability to manage their car on the track.
This prestigious award is given only to a maximum of three individuals at each annual meet. This year, Dick York, right, and another Ferrari owner took home the “gold.”
