There are no less than four racing iterations of the 458 Italia: Challenge Trofeo Pirelli, GT2 car, and new GT3 and Grand-Am versions.

“Ferrari’s racing spirit has always sprung not just from Formula 1 but also from the road-going sports cars competing in the Grand Touring category,” commented the head of the Ferrari Corse Clienti Department, Antonello Coletta.
Ferrari has scored significant wins in the Italian and European series, as well as in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS). The Prancing Horse marque won the 2006 Teams’ title and the Drivers’ one the following year. This year Ferrari will be well represented in the Grand-Am series as well.
The famous Ferrari Challenge one-make series is now in its nineteenth year. This year there is another venue for owners in the Asia-Pacific region who will contest a five-race series, starting with a round at the Japanese Fuji circuit.
