GM 6.2-LITER LSA: REFINED POWERHOUSE!

Supercharged 376-inch Gen IV small-block has an LS pedigree and brings Cadillac’s V-Series sophisticated performance to the world of ‘crate engines.’

Based on the potent LS9 Corvette small-block, the LSA engine has a slightly smaller supercharger and a few other unique components designed to also deliver Cadillac's signature quietness and refinement. The new LSA can transform an older Camaro or Corvette or other vehicles into super performance road warriors.

Its high-performance credentials include a unique aluminum block with six-bolt cross-bolted main caps and houses a forged steel crankshaft, integrated piston cooling oil jets, high-flow cylinder heads with 68-cc chambers and 2.16-inch intakes and 1.59-inch exhaust valves and a relatively mild camshaft.  The 9.1 compression LSA sports a .480-inch-lift hydraulic roller cam with 1.7:1 roller rockers, and is redlined at 6,600 rpm. It's the engine that powers the Cadillac CTS-V, below

Unlike the Corvette’s dry-sum LS9, the LSA comes with conventional wet-sump lubrication. With its 556 horsepower and 551 pound-feet of torque, along with excellent idle quality and "right-now" throttle response, it can transform an older naturally aspirated Camaro or Corvette into a spectacular performer.
